I am Yvonne Holmes, a Level 4 Qualified Counsellor, trained Teacher, and NLP Practitioner, and the author of The Calm and Confidence Toolbox for Teens and Young People.

I never sell or share your personal data for marketing purposes.
Data is stored in secure, password‑protected systems (Google Workspace, encrypted devices). Only I have access. Records are kept only as long as necessary for ethical, tax, and safeguarding reasons.
Session content is confidential unless:
There is risk of serious harm to the client or others.
A safeguarding concern arises.
Disclosure is required by law (e.g., court order).
Whenever possible, I discuss any need to share information with you first.

The welfare of every child and young person I work with is paramount. I follow UK safeguarding guidance and professional ethical codes to ensure a safe, respectful environment.
This policy covers:
Online and (where applicable) in‑person sessions with under‑18s
Website, email, and form interactions
Any concerns disclosed to me about a young person’s safety
Protection from physical, emotional, sexual abuse, neglect, exploitation.
Respectful, child‑centred practice.
Prompt action if a young person may be at risk.
I may:
Discuss the concern with the young person and/or parent (where safe).
Contact appropriate safeguarding services (school DSL, local authority, NSPCC).
Call emergency services (999) if immediate risk is present.

This policy is reviewed annually or sooner if legislation changes.
Under‑16s: Written or electronic consent from a parent/guardian is required before the first session.
Ages 16‑18: Young people may consent for themselves, but I encourage parental involvement where helpful.
By booking, you acknowledge that:
My services provide wellbeing‑focused counselling/coaching and are not a substitute for clinical mental‑health treatment.
Sessions are delivered online via Zoom (or in‑person where announced).
Fees are: £55 for Teen 1:1 (45 min) | £60 for Parent Session (60 min). A 15‑minute introductory call is available for a fee of £20, payable in advance.
I keep brief, anonymised session notes.
Any sharing of information follows the confidentiality limits in section 1.5 and safeguarding duties in section 2.
24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule without charge.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur the full session fee (exceptions for emergencies considered case‑by‑case).
I do not provide emergency crisis support. If you or your child is at immediate risk, call 999 or visit your nearest A&E. For urgent emotional support, contact Samaritans – 116 123 (24/7).
You will be prompted to tick consent statements on the booking form. Parents/guardians of under‑16s will also receive a confirmation email with the consent summary to sign electronically.
